Abstract
This project presents a management plan for a small environmental reserve in the Province of Alberta called the Wagner Natural Area. A Natural Area is a type of reserve defined by the Alberta Wilderness Areas, Ecological Reserves and Natural Areas Act. The Wag ner Natural Area is managed by the Wagner Natural Area Society (WNAS) and has been set aside for use as an Educational Natural Area. The primary objective of the Natural Areas program is to protect the natural features of the landscape. Within this framework, Educational Natural Areas are to be conserved and managed for environment education purposes. Recreation may take place if it does not conflict with the primary educational objective. Regulations and standards for the use of Natural Areas are established on a site-specific basis.
