Abstract
The article discusses a court case wherein Wayne Crookes, a British Columbia businessman, sued website owner Jon Newton for posting two hyperlinks to allegedly defamatory articles about him. The Supreme Court of Canada concluded that there was no publication of defamatory on Newton's part. The authors state that the case represents an excellent example of the modern challenge facing judges to support both the Internet and individual reputation.
