Abstract
The article discusses the court case wherein the "Edmonton Journal" challenged the constitutionalism of the Accurate News and Information Act of Alberta's Social Credit Board. The legislation was passed to limit the opposition and criticism brought by a united Alberta media against the economic and social policies of the Social Credit government of William Aberhart. Furthermore, the Supreme Court of Canada has found the bill to be outside of the legislative authority of Alberta.
