dc.descriptionTelepsychiatry Guidelines & Procedures for Clinical Activities was developed to meet the needs of clinicians and administrative staff working with the University of Toronto Psychiatric Outreach Program. This edition represents a work in progress and will be updated in response to internal and external feedback as developments occur in clinical practice, legislation, legal precedents, technology and evaluation. These guidelines are neither exhaustive nor absolute, nor do they speak to policy. Our goal is that these guidelines will contribute to the development of Canadian-specific guidelines and policies. The Canadian Psychiatric Association and others are working on developing guidelines, analogous to those produced by the American Psychiatric Association and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (see Appendices II and III).en
