Abstract
Decision Support Systems in eHealth: The paper compares the approaches used in various recent R&D projects in order to support risk reduction and clinical governance. It emphasises the difference between ICT tools for: - Collaborative practices: The IST PALLIANET Project illustrates in Palliative care the emergence of knowledge driven collaborative practices in healthcare networks. - Co-ordinated care: The IST CARE-PATHS Project illustrates how the strict implementation of Clinical Pathways can contribute to the continuous improvement of the quality of care.
