Abstract
The following manuscript and the accompanying artist's statement examine the process of playwriting in creating and developing the full-length play, Meat Puppet. Loosely based on a real event, Meat Puppet examines the growing preference toward sensationalism in contemporary news media and the responsibility audience has in creating these trends.
