Abstract
Founder of Life Enhancement Training (L.E.T.), Dr. R. Michael Fisher gives a brief overview of his sources in the world of philosophy and psychology whereupon he draws from to design his program. This video focuses on how he understands emotional fitness, and distinguishes that from more superficial emotional intelligence education and he then complements emotional work with existential work that is essential to a more in depth liberation model--that is, a model that guides humanity from its violent basis in "hurt-feelings" to a nonviolence in a healing culture. On a technical note: "Interiority & Consciousness" has a longer history with a list that could include "Spinoza, Leibniz, Schopenhauer, Whitehead, Aurobindo, Schelling, and Radhakrishnan as just a few..." says, Ken Wilber (1995, p. 111)... INTERIORITY -- FEELING --- DEPTH (in Consciousness)... is required to 'balance' with focus of attention and valuation so obsessively on EXTERIORITY-- ABSTRACT THOUGHT --- SURFACE Note: We require a lot less 'guys' on this list of Wilber's, and more 'others' of depth and feeling worlds, and females (and other's in between) have lots to offer for the corrective (my feminist coming out)...
