Abstract
Dr. R. Michael Fisher, founder and director of The Fearology Institute concludes a 3 part series of videos on JP (see Part 2 on Conflict https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=om-L_...) (see Part 1 on Social Theory https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2x7J...). Fisher demonstrates utilization of his own methodology of fearanalysis, pointing out how JP understands fear but also asks the critical question: Is JP (at times) fearmongering--that is, using fear-based means to manage fear? In some cases, unfortunately, JP seems to be doing this and has (along with his fans) not yet fully recognized the difference between courageousness and fearlessness as philosophies and strategies for the better society. Dr. Fisher invites conversations and joining of movements to an emancipatory end where fear-based systems (victimization) is no longer the main motivator for change and transformation. Fear is a central factor in JP's overall philosophy and likewise in Dr. Fisher's so there is continuity and complementarity to be found in their views, even if they go in different directions in how to accomplish a positive revisioning of society.
