Modern Language Association (MLA) Basic Search Tutorial

Abstract

This tutorial introduces people to Basic Searches on MLA's EBSCOhost platform database. Included is a discussion of (1) Elements of a Citation, (2) Bringing up Full Records, (3) Using MLA Names as Subject Search, and (4) learning about additional subject headings by consulting the database's Narrow Results by Subject Feature. Also discussed is learning to identify if a title is available in (1) Full-Text, (2) in an Electronic Form, (3) in the Library or (4) from Inter-Library Loan.
