Abstract
The Computerized Test Question Database project was initiated with two
objectives. First was to design and implement a computerized test
question database which would allow instructors to construct examinations
based on a number of question selection criteria. Second was to create
and classify a large set of test questions for CPSC 203.
The activities undertaken concentrated in three area: course definition,
software specification and search, and question bank development.
The course definition phase attempted to identify the instructional
objectives of CPSC 203. The software specification phase determined what
characteristics were desired in a computer program to maintain a test
question database. Available commercial programs were compared and the
results are described. The question bank development phase converted
existing test questions and publisher testbank questions to use with
new software, and created new test questions.
