Abstract
This chapter presents a 'how-to' tutorial to a version of Lewis and
Rieman's Task Centered System Design methodology. Using an example of an
interface being developed for a catalogue store, we show in detail how a
practitioner can identify key tasks, use those tasks to do a rudimentary
requirements analysis, and how one can evaluate prototype designs through a
task-centered walkthrough.
