Abstract
This article offers a light-hearted look at three plays based on
Computer Science and the problems facing a University Computer
Science Department. The plays, specially written and performed at
Christmas each year, have been a definite asset in fostering high
morale and a cooperative spirit between students and staff at all
levels. Factors which have contributed to the success of this
enterprise are identified and briefly discussed. In view of the
widespread difficulties caused by rapid and uncontrolled growth
in many Computer Science departments in the late 1970's and early
1980's, our experience may be of value to others.
