A Study of Problem and Pathological Gambling Among the Citizens of Indiana Associated with Participation in the Indiana State Lottery

Abstract
The primary objectives of this study, as outlined in the Request for Proposals, are to: Conduct a thorough review of the literature concerning addiction to gambling of all types and the psychological phenomena of compulsive gambling; Complete a random sample of individuals throughout the State by age, sex, income and occupation who have been regular participants in the Indiana Lottery to date; and Make recommendations on what actions the State should pursue to offer treatment to individuals who are addicted to gambling.
