Abstract: This study is the third in a sequence (1995 and 1998) designed to study the problem of compulsive gambling, the best ways to prevent and address the problem of compulsive gambling, the most effective, responsible, and equitable way to support the infrastructure necessary to prevent problem gambling, and the steps that should be taken by the State Legislature to accomplish the establishment of the recommended infrastructure (Louisiana Compulsive Gambling Study Committee Report, 1996).
