Abstract
This report presents the findings of a state-wide survey of gambling participation and gambling-related problems in Washington State. This study is a replication of a baseline study that was carried out by the same research team in 1992. A random sample of 1,501 Washington State residents aged 18 and over was interviewed in October and November of 1998 about the types of gambling in which they had ever participated, the amounts of money they spend on gambling, and about problems related to their gambling.
