Abstract
The article discusses the Supreme Court case Roncarelli v. Duplessis which happened before the enactment of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom. It mentions the move of the government in putting an end on the offensive and insulting acts on the religious beliefs of the Roman Catholic population wherein restaurateur Frank Roncarelli was accused of making a mockery of the justice system. The significance of the case as landmark of the constitutional decision is also emphasized.
