IDEAS 2014: Rising to the Challenge Collection home page


The mandate of this conference was to study innovative teaching practices that support engaging student learning experiences in K-12 and post secondary. This conference created opportunities for research to inform practice and practice to inform research, challenging us to be better, building on ideas, challenging ideas of learning and teaching.

Participants included members of professional communities such as psychologists, sociologists, leaders and faculty in K-12, post secondary and government. Coming together to study learning and teaching in dynamic relationships, we created new practice, new knowledge and new research questions.
