Abstract

Through this hermeneutic research study, the complex role, and life world of the principal in leading a school dedicated to learning is uncovered. Research is abundant on the importance of school leadership, change processes that see the school as a complex learning organization, effective teaching practices that are required; however, what is missing are practical examples of how these concepts and theories have come to life in the experiences of school principals. This study opens up different understanding about the way principals lead a school community that learns together.
