Abstract
Recognizing the limitations of developer prescribed, mass produced housing; this MOP responds to a visible need for the recognition of individuality and specificity of place as a means for creating an environment suitable for the contemporary dweller and their evolving needs. A lack of choice, a widespread contentness with mediocrity and a willingness to conform to developer defined standards of living has left many homeowners dissatisfied. Through the exploration of an architecture that is both socially and economically responsive, this MOP proposes a densified, typological alternative to the contemporary single family home. Encouraging a shift from a traditionally, static housing forms, this project propose an alternative solution capable of adapting to the user and their broader socioeconomic context.
