This analysis is carried out on three different length scales: the single stage level, the level of the formation and finally in a 3D volume. A comparison of three commonly used statistical methods of analysis is carried out at the stage level to determine the statistical validity of these methods. B-value analysis is a form of statistical analysis which is highly sensitive to the statistical methods being employed as well as the size of the data sample.
