The Project was developed in conjunction with Pluspetrol Peru Corporation S.A. and A consultant group, ERM, as a means to develop an Environmental Management System (EMS) that complies with every ISO 14001 requirement. The tools developed in this project were chosen by Pluspetrol Peru Corporation S.A. Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) officials, and included Analysis of Barriers and Driving Forces, Education and Training and Risk Communication and the contents were co-ordinated with a consultancy, Environmental Resources Management (ERM) This document has been divided into six chapters. The first two chapters provide background information on the Camisea Project as well as important concepts related to EMS and ISO 14001. The next three chapters develop the EMS tools mentioned above.
