Presented at the ARLIS/NA (Art Libraries Society of North America) 40th Annual Conference, "Colouring Outside the Lines" Toronto, Ontario, March 29-April 2, 2012 in the session "Marketing Librarians, Practice, and Spaces in the 21st Century".http://hdl.handle.net/1880/48925The University of Calgary Libraries and Cultural Resources (LCR) is developing a comprehensive academic Multimedia Creation programme to support students from points of inspiration to archiving their original works. Facilities include video editing suites, a bank of Mac Pro workstations, video gaming, and digitizing equipment. We will also provide a touch table and digital sphere with software development kits for students to create their own work on these platforms. Library collections, including e-manuals, web resources (Creative Commons, public domain, and royalty-free resources), and learning tools (workshops, guides) support content creation. Services and resources will be developed collaboratively between several LCR and non-LCR units, including the Student Success Centre, Visual & Performing Arts, Digital Media Commons, and campus IT.engAttribution Non-Commercial No Derivatives 3.0 UnportedMedia CommonsMultimedia Creation ResourcesTaylor Family Digital LibraryVisual & Performing Arts, Libraries and Cultural ResourcesDevelopment of Multimedia Creation Services and Resources in the Taylor Family Digital Library, University of CalgaryPresentation10.11575/PRISM/34777
