Research on the e-Table is novel; there remains a lack of published work on two-dimensional horizontal displays. As such, this research has involved investigating the design space of a table display; that is, the unique characteristics and potential utility of a table display. To this end, an observational study was carried out involving participants completing puzzles on a regular table, a table display and an upright display.
