(LRC), 2013-01) Bowal, Peter; Horvat, KelseyThe article discusses a court case wherein Wayne Crookes, a British Columbia businessman, sued website owner Jon Newton for posting two hyperlinks to allegedly defamatory articles about him. The Supreme Court of Canada concluded that there was no publication of defamatory on Newton's part. Marie and its impact on Canadian law. The authors state that Brian Dickinson, Chief Justice of Canada, defined and inserted the category of strict liability offence which gives rise to the due diligence defence. They note that water pollution concerns in Sault Saint Marie, Michigan and Ontario has now been identified. They mention that the city has committed to keep its water through continuous surveillance and maintenance.
