Abstract
My artistic practice is mainly concerned with time, duration, temporality and the human psyche in the contemporary era. This research paper is a studio practice based investigation of this subject matter within five installation pieces made throughout two years of MFA program. Within these art pieces, I explore temporality of contemporary human being by using dichotomies of mind and body, time and space, still and motion, absence and presence, emotion and anxiety, viewer and embodiment as key components of my research process. These elements have developed through creative art practice of different mediums such as drawing, video, sound as well as performative multimedia art and installation.
