|Abstract:||In this paper I will study the acquisition of pronoun interpretation by Japanese children. My study deals mainly with two issues. The first relates to the issue of when some of the principles involved in the interpretation of pronouns appear in child language. The other examines Barbara Lust's (1981, 1983) claim that abstract structural relations unique to the language faculty determine the interpretation of pronouns.|
