This paper explores my exploration of archetypes with sculpture placed within installation spaces. Greek and Celtic myths are assessed for their archetypal contents and for their abilities to inspire sculpture. Myths associated with Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt, are examined. The inspiration of my artistic process is discussed, including wave phenomena and the body. The visual images and theories of inspirational artists, including Joseph Beuys, Wassily Kandinsky, and Frida Kahlo, and psychologists, such as Carl Jung are examined. Tripartite relationships inherent in my sculpture are investigated and utilized as an analysis tool for the examination of my thesis exhibition, Interface.en
