From an ecological perspective, there is great pressure in today’s society to bond the linkages between home and school environments to positively influence childhood outcomes, in which parental involvement and family-school partnerships have been highlighted in the education system. Research to date has heavily focused on the impact of parental involvement on children’s academic achievement, but minimal research has been devoted to exploring the influence that such practices may have on other partners involved, such as parents and teachers. Thus, the present study is threefold in nature as it aims to better understand the impact that parental involvement can have on childhood outcomes, parental well-being, and parent-teacher relationships. Specific types of parental involvement practices were found to be associated with children’s numeracy achievement, parent’s reported levels of daily stress, and communication within parent-teacher relationships. Recommendations are provided to assists schools in their attempts to foster joint partnerships between home and schools that go beyond basic communications.en_US
