dc.description.abstract | This dissertation is a re-evaluation of the horse in the ancient world. The approach is not based on humans and human controls, rather it seeks to examine the equines of antiquity from the viewpoint of the horses themselves. This is accomplished by looking at equine conformation and how form dictated function. | en_US |
