dc.description.abstract | In the fall of 1998, the Addictions Foundation of Manitoba and the Manitoba Theatre for Young People developed the play "Chasing the Money", with the primary purpose of increasing youth awareness on issues related to gambling, including how gambling can become a problem for some people, and the negative impact gambling can have on those around the gambler. The play was presented to various schools throughout Manitoba in the spring of 1999. As a means of determining the effectiveness of the play, study guide, and discussions, student surveys were distributed to a sample of students, and teacher surveys were sent to all teachers. The present document highlights key findings from each of these surveys. | en |
