This research explores the employment readiness and workplace integration policies for Canadians experiencing Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Despite existing frameworks, Autistic individuals face significant employment barriers, including low participation rates and underutilization of their skills. This research utilized a rapid review and statistical analysis of the Worktopia dataset to explore employment policies and barriers for Autistic Canadians alongside organizational strategies and training programs. The combined qualitative and quantitative findings highlight potential avenues for policy development and the gradual improvement of employability for this population. The findings underscore the need for tailored opportunities and synchronized federal and provincial policies to create supportive employment environments for Autistic individuals. Key recommendations include reforming the Employment Insurance (EI) system to incentivize employers, implementing a robust data governance framework for informed policymaking, and enhancing Human Resource Management (HRM) practices to accommodate Autistic employees. By addressing these areas, including issues concerning HRM and EI, Canada can improve the employment prospects and quality of life for Autistic individuals, benefiting both the individuals themselves and the broader economy.
