dc.description.abstractIn today’s global world, the acquisition of intercultural competence (ICC) is essential for effective communication and interaction. Study Abroad Programs provides students the opportunity to immerse themselves in a new culture, learn a new language and increase ICC; however, ICC attributes are necessarily acquired through formal education. This paper is an in-depth literature review and analysis of empirical studies that looks at face-to-face (FtF) interactions and blogs to foster ICC in second language adult learners who are enrolled in study abroad programs.en_US
