dc.description.abstract | The objective of this thesis research is to identify and explore the design opportunities and the potential capabilities and applications for new glass products, given recent advances in glass material and the incorporation of digital technologies. In order to accomplish this objective, different issues, such as the history of glass, the state of the art in glass, the technology in its broadest sense, the relationships established between people and technology were explored. Analysis and insight into these issues allowed a focus on semiotic pollution, which in turn informed an industrial design response. | en_US |
