dc.description.abstract | This thesis offer a new look at the inferential reading of visual codes through the concept of reconciled narrative-visual space, which has as its primary objective the narrative, aesthetic, pedagogical and compositional analysis of the first wordless picture book of the first part of the Cervantes novel, Don Quijote of La Mancha (i.e., DQ 1605), which, associated with nine art movements, aims to be a compositional and pedagogical guide for the teaching of art and literature. This project proposes to use a methodological framework based on the study of Cervantes' novel through an intertextual perspective between the history of art and literature and the narrative-visual adaptation based on reverse ekphrasis and the reconciled narrative-visual space model. It identifies different layers of meaning established in the composition, the sequence of images, and the literary devices implicit in the image. Thus, these components help develop the pedagogical and aesthetic resources that encompass the first wordless book adaptation of this novel. | |
