The article discusses the legal issues related to social media in Canada. It mentions that employers may argue that the law imposes few restrictions on the employee recruitment and selection process and in accessing the social media accounts of employees. However, the human rights legislation requires them to refrain from asking questions concerning the personal information of the applicants which are related to a prohibited ground of discrimination such as sexual orientation, gender, and race.en_US
