Most people have learned about fear and can articulate their beliefs about it. Yet, this leads to a distortion in part of the whole picture of what fear is about in terms of human history and where we are going--our future unfolding. Dr. Fisher, after 3 decades of research on the topic of fear and fearlessness, offers in this video a way to distinguish and problematize our own habits of understanding fear. He discusses, using critical literacy, his own critical pedagogical approach to the topic and how we can improve our fear management/education on the planet meant for the challenges of the 21st century. Fear, he says, has got ahead of us, we're on catch up with building a better intelligent fear management/education from cradle to grave.. Note: Pierre Bourdieu (Fr. theorist) is what I meant to say.
