Abstract
As part of an ongoing unveiling of the hidden layer of the spirit of fearlessness in historical movements overall, this paper presents evidence of the emergence of fearlessness thinking and its concomitant liberating social theories during what Hughes (1958/77) calls the “Reorientation” in W. European social thought, 1890-1930.
