dc.description	Diese kommentierte Übersicht Deutscher Literatur zum Thema „Lesbarkeit“ bietet Wissenschaftler*innen, die kein Deutsch lesen, reichhaltigen Zugang zu relevanter Literatur. Da Kinder auf der ganzen Welt in Deutsch als Erst- und Zweitsprache das Lesen erlernen, ist das Wissen über das Verständnis und die Konzeptionierung von Lesbarkeit in der deutschsprachigen Welt bedeutsam. This annotated bibliography of German literature on the topic of readability provides access to a wealth of literature to researchers who do not read German. With children around the world learning to read in German as a first or second language, a knowledge of how readability is understood and conceptualized in the German-speaking world is valuable.
dc.description.abstract	Die von uns gesichtete Literatur stützt die allgemeine Auffassung, dass Lesbarkeit aus drei Komponenten besteht: literarische und kontextuelle Aspekte sowie Aspekte, die die Textkomplexität betreffen. Zu den literarischen Aspekten gehören das Setting, die Komplexität der Charaktere und die Handlungsstruktur. Kontextbezogene Aspekte beziehen sich auf den sozialen Kontext, in dem Schüler unterrichtet werden, sei es im Kontext der Erstoder Zweitsprache, einer Minderheitensprache oder einer dominanten Hochsprache usw. Die Textkomplexität umfasst Wortschatz (Lexik) und Grammatik (Morphologie und Syntax). Oftmals betrachten Forscher die Lesbarkeit nur aus einer dieser Perspektiven. Aber um ein vollständiges Bild zu erhalten, muss der Querschnitt aller drei Aspekte betrachtet werden. The literature we reviewed supports the conceptualization that readability is made up of three components: literary, contextual, and text complexity aspects. Literary aspects include setting, character complexity, and event structure. Contextual aspects refer to the social context in which students are instructed, be it first or second language contexts, minority or dominant societal language, etc. Text complexity involves vocabulary (lexis) and grammar (morphology and syntax). Often researchers approach readability from one of those perspectives, but to gain a complete picture, the cross section of all three needs to be considered.
